Frequently Asked Questions

Such a big week ahead of us comes with a lot of questions and we're here to help! If you still have questions, don't hesitate to ask! No question is too big or too small. We'll continue to add more to this page over time.

What days are our wedding events / When should I get to Dallas?

We recommend getting into Dallas by Monday evening at the latest, as our events begin the following day. With the wedding being during Thanksgiving week, please keep in mind the uptick in travel & flight delays around this time of year.

Our events start at 2 PM on Tuesday and 3:30 PM on Wednesday, so please be sure to leave ample time to get ready and be on time.

What time should I arrive to the Shaadi?

Please note the baraat arrival and ceremony will start promptly by 4:00 pm.

Do I get a +1 to the wedding / Are kids invited?

We unfortunately cannot accommodate plus ones or children, unless they are specifically named on the RSVP section of the website.

How will parking work at the Shaadhi Venue (The Knotting Hill Place)?

Due to limited space up front, there will be a mandatory valet service provided by the venue. Don't worry, it's absolutely free :). Your car will be parked directly behind the venue on the same plot.

Can I post pictures and videos on social media / Is there a wedding hashtag?

Yes!!! We'd love to be able to relive the day through the eyes of our guests. Please feel free to tag us and use #sohailsmaharani while posting.

What's the weather like in November?

Unfortunately, Texas is very temperamental, meaning temperatures can range anywhere from the 50's to 70's. Our Shaadhi function will be partly outdoors, so please plan to bring a light jacket if needed. We will have coat closets available.

What should I do while I'm in Dallas?

We have an exciting schedule of events planned for our big week. Outside of that, we've created a useful guide of our favorite things to do in Dallas here.

Which neighborhoods do you recommend staying in?

Please refer to our Travel & Lodging page, and feel free to reach out to us directly if you have any remaining questions.

What should I do if I can't make it?

We'll miss you dearly! Please be sure to update your RSVP as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly. Thank you!

I still have questions. Who should I contact?

Feel free to reach out to Maha (415-205-1800) or Sohail (214-708-0146).
